Numbers matching 1969 Dodge Daytona Charger to be auctioned this weekend in Toronto....by CCP Auctions.

Only 503 Charger Daytona's were produced in 1969, and one of the survivors will be auctioned this weekend at the Toronto Fall Classic Car Auction.

The story behind Chrysler's "Winged Warrior" is amazing to say the least, and it's racing success had an incredible impact on the aerodynamics employed in the automotive designs of yesteryear and of today.

The example being offered for sale this weekend is a numbers matching car, powered by a 440 Magnum V8. It comes with a console shifted Torqueflite automatic. It is equipped with power steering, power brakes with front discs, and a sure grip limited slip differential.

The Toronto Fall Classic Car Auction is Canada's largest collector car auction. It is produced by Dan Spendick who is the man behind CCP Auctions.

"The Charger comes from a small but impressive collection of Chrysler automobiles owned by Ted Woods. We are selling approximately 15 to 20 cars from his collection," said Dan. "Ted has been a well respected member of the automotive community for many many years. He and his family have operated a Chrysler Dealership for 75 years, and he has now decided to wind things down. To say the list of cars being offered from his collection is impressive is an understatement".

The list includes a 58 Dodge Sweptside Pickup which is one of only 100 built, as well as a 34 Dodge Brothers Stake Truck with only 6000 original miles. However it's the 69 Dodge Charger Daytona that was selected as this fall's auction catalog cover car, and it is generating a huge amount of excitement.

The Daytona has had only three owners, and the current owner has had the vehicle for 11 years. The car is proper is every way with upgrades to the ignition system to ensure reliability. The car comes with documentation including a production broadcast sheet, and dealer sheet listing the original price at just: $4729.95. The car will no doubt generate bids much, much higher than that this weekend. The Daytona is without question going to be a big highlight at this weekends auctions which starts Friday, and continues through Sunday ( October 28th, 29th, 30th ).
