Ford of Canada has taken the wraps off a 2018 Mustang Prototype and they've rolled it into the Ottawa Gatineau International Auto Show.

The new Mustang will be available in the fall of 2018, but right now the public is getting a first glance at the new lower front end, and sleeker style. The car is still without question a Mustang. The style holds true to the car's heritage. There are big changes in the options list though.

In 2018 a V6 will no longer be available. Instead Ford will focus on a turbo four, and the extremely powerful 5.0 litre V8.

Scott Kuzma is Ford's marketing plan manager. He says the new Mustang will bring a new level of connectivity with it for those who are focused on creature comforts and digital toys. He also told the SST Car Show that the car will perform better and overall it will perform better.

"The new Mustang will come with a manual option or a new 10-speed automatic transmission," said Kuzma.

Pricing has not yet been revealed, and we are still waiting on exact horsepower ratings for the various versions of the engines.

The auto show continues through Sunday at the Shaw Centre in downtown Ottawa.
